About GRAS

Gurkha Robotics and Autonomous Systems (GRAS LLC) exists to advance robotics and autonomous systems with the same resolve associated with Gurkha heritage: courage in the face of difficulty, discipline in craft, and loyalty to the mission and the people it serves.

01/Story

Our story

GRAS was formed around a simple belief: the next generation of robotics should be as principled as it is capable. The Himalayas and the kukri in our identity are not decoration. They are a reminder that strength without judgment is incomplete, and that technology should reflect the values of the people who build and use it.

We are a corporate home for engineers, researchers, and operators who want to work on hard autonomy problems without losing sight of human outcomes. We speak carefully about what we have proven and what we are still learning, because credibility is part of the product.

02/Culture

How we work

Three ideas shape our culture and our technical choices.

  • Engineering with purpose

We treat autonomy as a responsibility. Every architecture choice, test plan, and release standard is weighed against real-world use, not demo metrics.

  • Heritage as compass

Gurkha tradition emphasizes service, steadiness, and loyalty. GRAS applies that mindset to teams building machines that must earn trust every day.

  • People at the center

Autonomous systems should amplify human skill. We design for operators, maintainers, and decision makers who need clarity, not complexity, under pressure.

03 / Commitment

Our commitment

We will not claim contracts, customers, or milestones we have not earned. What we offer today is a clear direction: robotics and autonomy developed with Gurkha-inspired values and a focus on human-machine teaming.

As GRAS grows, we will share progress when it is real and verifiable. Until then, this site is our statement of identity and intent: a company building toward capable, trustworthy autonomous systems, grounded in courage, discipline, and loyalty.
